this is mr metro after his grooming. looks a little grumpy but still very cute. haha. after his locks got shaved, zj din recognise him at all. haha.

random photo taken in the mrt quite long ago. as you can see i think i look quite nice. haha.well, i got a surprise early this morning during assembly and had to prepare for a lesson with less than an hour to think of activities. lucky it well ok.. goodness. i hope i dun get anymore of these. weak heart lei. so during the pe class the most mischievous boy in class got hit on the groin and as a result he was really mad with his partner and threw the ball so far his partner had to travel to mars to retrieve it. when i got there, his exact words were " he throw the ball hit my c*** lei. my pen-is." and gave me a really exasperated n angry upset face. haha. its not funny when your all sweating n trying to watch the backs of 27 other screaming 8 year olds. but come to think of it. quite cute.
im gonna have to teach another 2 more classes. i hope everything goes well. wish i just went for the p5 camp instead. just slack at the site. ha.
i met one of my ex students today and she's graduated from p6 and at an all girls sch now. wow. they grow fast huh. last time she was shy and spoke english with a slang. always with a smile and quite a happy go lucky girl. but now, literally abit the ah lian and was going to meet boys with friends who skipped detention. goodness. the wonders secondary school can do to you.
the missus is leaving her slacking days and going to work tmr! know ya stressed but dun worry ok? you'll do fine alrights? haha. n i'll be your listening ear if you've any complaints. n whenever i can i'll pick you from work ya? love:)

its finally the end of week 1!!!! and im sitting here on a lovely saturday afternoon racking my brains and trying very hard to think of clever things to say in my reflection so i wun fail:( plus i also have to write two lesson plans cux im teaching next week. n in the end my ct came n told me i should really try to teach math too. to be realistic. OMG. suddenly i got alot of things to do and shud really stop falling asleep at my tiny table beside the window!! -verysad. n the students keep calling me everything but the correct name. like mrs huang, mr huang, ms wong, mdm huang. argh. mr huang is the most embarrassing la. especially when you get awkward silence after that! -_-''i wish the weekend would never end cux i've not been getting enough of a certain someone and she's starting dreadful work next week. that would like totally cut our meeting time to like.. well, just very pathetic.:(
i feel so tired everyday i could sleep anywhere as long as its in sch. but once i reach home im suddenly wake n i cant fall asleep. wad kind of logic is this?!
tanning tmr! yay. i must try to get a little darker. more pe-ish. if not all the trainings all at night i dun even get the sun. n most of the time i obeserve pe in the shade. haha.
getting back to reflectionsssssss... dread.

its been quite awhile since the missus bday.. n i just found some time to blog about the night before all the r21 movies become legal n get my missus all to myself for a little count down on the rooftop of pier11 at marina south with beach mat n all under the stars to await the much hyped about 21st.
its a little late but i have to introduce my art piece. hahah. been quite long since i actually sewed n you know the normal bday cards and all are so boring n cliche. so.. haha. this is mr puppet or muppet n everytime he makes an appearance the missus goes into fits of laughter. its supposed to be a rabbit by the way. dun say it. i know.
sentosa! thanks zj for lending me siao's car n made this day possible! we had funnnnnn!!!
tcc at keppel marina a very cool offshore island that doesnt need a ferry or pay entrance fee to go to. they have nice chill out bars too. n a bridge similar to fisherman's wharf's lovers bridge in taipei.. thats wad i think..
picture of me n the bridge in the direction of mainland. its quite a cool place really. the bridge can change colour ok! haha.ok.. now moving on.. settlers that night was fun. saucy taboo was really difficult to play n i have to admit i was like dreaming most of the time n forgot who was in my team. haha. lucky we won. n i have to take my hat off to nuriah who was like totally enthu n you know.. alot of ppl were actually watching you. ppl not at our table. hahah. n to the new PHYSICS teacher in the class. getting 1 for taboo is really bad. you must brush up ok? hahah. n for once i acutally won in mahjong against all the very scary n powderful players. heng ah! stressed ok whole night. LOL.
the dreaded 5 weeks of waking up early n having very disrupted sleep cux of the feeling that the alarm will somehow malfunction is really sucky. combine that with alot of nodding in the little corner that can be seen by everyone in the staff room. TP is really.. well.. for those of you who are experiencing the same thing, you know wad i mean. n no bloody internet connection. im like condemned to the stone age.:( i just hope it'll be over soon! i need my bintan retreat!!!
to the missus, dun worry ok? the jobs will find you! n im so glad im finally meeting you tmr!:) yay. its the highlight of my day.
n mr ah beng. stop writing that list, nothing is going to happen anytime soon! dun be so emo!:)

so the second day started bright n early n so did the rest of the days we were there. we cheong till late n woke up early.. abit like in secondary sch very very fun nonetheless. this is me at the subway..
waiting at ximen station for the train to come. its similar to singapore.. but very windy when the train comes..
one of the lesser known nightmarkets. there was nothing much to see or buy there thou.. so just walk walk walk..
one of the many things in taiwan that never fail to amuse me. their signs. like no clothes drying in the park. thought that was quite funny.
i do think they respect their female counterparts alot.. such that they have a special box to stand at while waiting for the train at night. very safe n can catch you on film if you dig your nose.
one of the memorial halls.. the zhong zheng ji nian tang if im not wrong.. the words in chinese say freedom so im trying very hard to act free.

get very bored of the museum. we found great interest in the wooden chairs. they were our fav exhibit.
one of the many ice parlours.. very good "icekachang". n very affordable n can feed 6.
at the mini museum. me n missus in front of our future house.
the ever majestic taipei 101. but it was raining so we din go all the way up! a pity.
the cake shop just round the corner from our hotel.. called 85degrees. its 24 hours all over taipei.. i wish spore had this too! just one outlet will do!

changing of guards. must go at the correct time if not dun have! i think they change every 2 hourly. imagine like somewhere itchy cannot scratch. goodness. i will never sign up for this man!
on the way to jiufen. in the train unlike the mrt kind. this one winds down the country roads. me being the very lazy n sleephead. was asleep for the entire journey. n you can see missus is not very happy.
the first sign we saw when we reached the station. very cute. n direct reminder. haha.
at the one street market at jiufen. its cool n weather was good. alot of good food n interesting stalls n wares.
at fishermens wharf. took a ferry there n at the background is the lovers bridge. one thing there was lovers had to hold hands n walk the entire length of the bridge then you will spend the rest of your lives tgt. imagine how tightly i held on to missus. hahah. but one thing one of the friends brought up. wad if your single, does that mean walking the entire length mean you will be single all your life??!!! lol.
at shihlin night market. was different than i tot. very little ppl too. maybe its cux they have bettter places to be? haha. or we went after dinner time n everyone was already shopping at the next street..
one of the first things we tried. the big sausage wrap small sausage. not too bad at all. missus liked it tremendously cux the big s was glutinous rice.
climbing yangmingshan was tiring n missus wore a DRESS!!! n i was dressed to go town can. haha. this is the very shaky bridge that we crossed. was quite shocked that it started to shake like quite a bit. like very disturbing you know when your only halfway across.
n this was the signboard that i clearly missed. which may have been a good thing cux i would have totally panicked if i saw it before crossing cux for one thing there was more than ten ppl on the bloody bridge!!
the teeny waterfall we walked a million miles for.
ferris wheel at miramar which was featured in one taiwanese drama. very cool. but again was raining so din take.
a little late but this was our hotel room bed. very comfy! n the room was big which is cux we paid quite abit too. hahha. n all the rooms were in diff themes so quite cool.
guess wad this is? nope.. not the one women use during that time of the month thou it seems to be. its really marshmallows in pad packaging. haha. i got chocolate condom ones too. hah.

last meal in taipei, ximending before leaving for the airport. its korean hotpot i think.
at the airport.. checking in. both of us with our similar couple polo luggages. n my new bag which totally look like my project shop bag. only bigger.
one last photo in the skytrain at hk airport. hahah. which shopping was really good btw. cux for branded stuff theres no tax n all so really quite a bargain if you compare to singapore. so all in all taipei was an experience! very interesting food n signs. haha. if your a foodie then its paradise. if your a girly girl, then theres your shopping paradise. haha.

day 1 taipei
finally after returning from my taiwan trip for almost 2 weeks that ive time to sit n blog. been hectic since i got back. coordinating the missus bday party and the bball 3on3..ok. taiwan!
at the airport...
transiting at the nice new hk airport.. the same one that experienced massive floods a week or so later...
at taipei airport next to the newspaper selling machine...
taking the big n spacious freego bus to the nearest stop to go to our hotel.. its not double deck as it may appear to be. its really just the upper deck with the lower deck for lugguage.
our first night out at Ximending!
n we spent the rest of our night eating n shopping around at ximending n then going to the nearest party world that is very close to our hotel n singing our hearts out till 3am. the karaoke suite was really big n nice n the food was good! theres also a toilet in it, n a mini stage n marks for after you sing. haha..
